Research Symposium on Promoting Cross-Border Education Held at HSUHK Nansha Center

The Research Symposium titled Promoting Cross-border Education: Management and Quality Assurance Issues was successfully held on 4 November 2025 at the Nansha Center of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK). A total of eleven distinguished speakers were invited to present at the symposium. The event commenced with welcome addresses delivered by Professor Mok Ka Ho from HSUHK and Professor Zhuang Huijuan from South China Normal University. Professor Angela Yung Chi Hou delivered the closing speech, highlighting the growing importance of regional collaboration in advancing quality assurance and sustainable development in higher education.

The event was co-hosted by the Asia Pacific Higher Education Research Partnership (APHERP), the School of Transdisciplinary Studies and the Graduate School of HSUHK, in collaboration with National Chengchi University and South China Normal University. The symposium served as a platform for scholars, researchers, and higher education professionals to exchange insights and share best practices in managing and assuring the quality of cross-border education.

The symposium attracted around sixty participants, including academics, administrators, and postgraduate students. The discussions were rich and engaging, covering topics such as international partnership governance, transnational education models, and evolving quality assurance mechanisms. Participants agreed that continued dialogue and cooperation across institutions and regions play a vital role in strengthening the future of cross-border higher education.
