Successful Conclusion of Winter School at HSUHK

The Winter School at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) successfully concluded this week, marking the end of a fruitful cross-cultural learning journey. This intensive program brought together students and faculty for a unique experience focused on study and cultural exchange.

Over several days, the Winter School featured a rich mix of academic lectures, hands-on workshops, and site visits designed to deepen participants’ understanding of contemporary issues and encourage intercultural dialogue.

The program included keynote presentations by Prof. Joshua MOK Ka Ho, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), Dean of the Graduate School and Director of the School of Transdisciplinary Studies at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK). Interactive seminars fostered group problem-solving while outreach activities, sightseeing, and guided tours of Hong Kong allowed participants to connect classroom learning to the city’s dynamic environment.

Participants visited notable sites such as Mei Ho House in Sham Shui Po, the ICAC in North Point, LegCo in Central, and the Hong Kong Heritage Museum in Sha Tin. Sightseeing excursions featured The Peak, Tai Kwun, Tsim Sha Tsui, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), The University of Hong Kong (HKU), and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).

STS remains committed to international collaboration and experiential learning, ensuring that future programs continue to build on the successes of this year’s Winter School.
