Professor Joshua Mok Shares Insights on Higher Education Transformation with at Nanyang Technological University

Professor Joshua Mok Ka Ho, Vice-President and Director of the School of Graduate Studies at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), was invited to deliver a keynote presentation to senior leaders from private universities across Mainland China. The presentation was part of a high-level executive training programme held at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, from 24 April to 1 May 2025.

In his address, Professor Mok shared valuable insights into how Hong Kong’s higher education institutions, particularly HSUHK, have evolved to become globally competitive in a rapidly changing academic landscape. His presentation highlighted the transformative journey of HSUHK, focusing on its distinctive “Liberal + Professional” education model, which integrates broad-based learning with professional training to nurture well-rounded, future-ready graduates.

Professor Mok also discussed strategic initiatives undertaken by Hong Kong universities to enhance their internationalization efforts. These included cross-border collaborations, curriculum innovations, and global mobility programmes aimed at expanding students’ and faculty’s global exposure.
