Taiwan Research Center of Xiamen University Delegation Visits The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong to Explore Academic Collaboration

On 16 April 2026, a delegation from the Taiwan Research Center of Xiamen University, led by Professor LI Peng, Dean of the Taiwan Research Center, visited The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), where the guests were warmly received by Professor Joshua Mok Ka-ho, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), Dean of the Graduate School, and Director of the School of Transdisciplinary Studies. During the visit, Professor Mok hosted the meeting, introduced the University’s latest developments, and exchanged views with the delegation on future academic collaboration.

The meeting provided a valuable platform for both sides to strengthen mutual understanding and explore new opportunities for collaboration in higher education, research and academic exchange. Professor Mok introduced HSUHK’s distinctive “Liberal + Professional” education model and shared the University’s commitment to nurturing globally minded young talent through quality teaching, interdisciplinary learning and impactful research. He also highlighted the University’s broad academic offerings, including undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, summer school initiatives, professional and executive training, and journal publications.

The visit concluded on a positive and forward-looking note. Both HSUHK and the Taiwan Research Center of Xiamen University expressed enthusiasm for maintaining close contact and pursuing concrete collaborative initiatives. The exchange marked an encouraging step towards building a stronger partnership and advancing cross-institutional cooperation in the years ahead.
