About the Project
The project aims to address the pressing need for improved talent development within the region’s higher education landscape. As Hong Kong seeks to solidify its position as a global hub for education and innovation, the focus on attracting and retaining top doctoral candidates has never been more critical. This initiative seeks to investigate the current challenges and opportunities in Hong Kong’s talent development strategies. Through comprehensive research, including surveys and interviews with stakeholders, we aim to identify best practices, assess local needs, and develop actionable recommendations that align with global standards.
Our Approach
Our approach involves a comprehensive research methodology that includes:
- Literature reviews

- Stakeholder Interviews
- Social Listening
Through these activities, we will gather valuable insights from students, faculty, and industry stakeholders, allowing us to understand their needs and perceptions regarding talent development. Additionally, we will analyse successful strategies from other global education hubs to identify best practices that can be adapted to our local context. The findings will culminate in actionable policy recommendations aimed at improving the overall talent landscape in Hong Kong.
