Guangdong Province Million Talents Teacher Development Initiative for Junior Secondary School Teachers
HSUHK welcomed 27 distinguished junior high school teachers from Guangdong Province as part of this programme. Their ten-day professional exchange, held from 13 to 22 October 2025, was jointly organised by South China Normal University and HSUHK’s Graduate School and School of Transdisciplinary Studies.
Centred on the theme “Cultivating Hearts and Unveiling Hong Kong’s Wisdom: Building Thriving Classes in the Greater Bay Area,” the programme incorporated school visits, classroom observations, and interactive workshops that promoted student-centred teaching and emotional development strategies. Through hands-on experiences and cross-disciplinary exploration, participants strengthened their professional skillsets while contributing to closer educational integration and talent development across the GBA.

Their ten-day professional exchange, held from 13 to 22 October 2025, was jointly organised by South China Normal University, together with the Graduate School and the School of Transdisciplinary Studies of HSUHK.
Under the theme “Decoding the Wisdom of Nurturing Talent in Hong Kong: Empowering Outstanding Class Teachers in the Greater Bay Area,” the programme featured school visits, classroom observations, and interactive workshops that enabled participants to explore adaptable strategies for enhancing professional competence and nurturing student talent. Teachers gained practical insights and cross-disciplinary thinking skills, empowering them to foster student growth and contribute meaningfully to educational integration within the GBA.

Professional Development Leadership Programme for Master Teachers of Primary and Secondary Schools in Guangdong Province
The 2025 Professional Development Leadership Programme for Master Teachers of Primary and Secondary Schools in Guangdong Province commenced its ten-day professional exchange from 10 to 19 November 2025 at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK). The programme brought together 25 distinguished teacher studio leaders from Guangdong under the theme “Together in the Bay Area, United in Virtue, Moving Forward in Action.”
Structured around four core principles of leadership, integration, innovation and impact, the programme offered a rich array of specialised lectures, interactive workshops and professional dialogues. Participants explored diverse topics such as AI in education, curriculum reform, system assessment and research leadership.
The schedule also featured immersive school visits, where educators observed authentic classroom practices and engaged in in-depth discussions with school management teams. These visits provided valuable insights into Hong Kong’s approaches to interdisciplinary curriculum design, school-based development, whole-person education and teacher professional growth, deepening cross-border understanding and collaboration in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
